Hurricane Katrina of the 2005 Atlantic hurricane season was a powerful Atlantic hurricane. It was the costliest natural disaster, as well as one of the five deadliest hurricanes, in the history of the United States. Our own Regina Therapeutic Riding Association pledged its support in this devastating time.

“A Very Special Event”
Was the theme of the Regina Therapeutic Riding fundraiser. H.R.H. Princess Anne made an exception for the organization that is near to her heart, by also attending a luncheon at the Hotel Saskatchewan in Regina. The Master of Ceremonies was Darren Bonneteau, whose 11 year old son Cain has been enrolled in the riding program for 4 years. The Guest Speaker was Heidi Martin, who with her husband Larry, founded the Regina Therapeutic Riding program in 1992.
Princess Anne then spoke about her interests in Therapeutic Riding.
The day proved to be highly successful for RTRA raising approximately $10,000 for the Association.
